{Teaser Time} New DoodleGardens

Today MFT is teasing you with two new sets from our newest line of stamps: Doodle Garden. I love to colour, so these sweet images are right up my alley!

The first I'll be showing you is Hunny Bunny. Oh boy, I am in love with this one...

She is coloured with copics and her ears and shirt were paper-pieced. I used the following die-namics: Fishtail Flag Layers STAX, Circle STAX1 and STAX 2, and Open Scallop Edge.

I also used some Hot Fudge CS, a Hot Fudge oval shaped button tied with a double Hemp Cord Bow.

I stamped the sentiments on the card front and inside with Black Licorice Ink. The little girl was stamped again in Sno cone Ink.

Next up is Springtime Wishes. Again, coloured with copics, fussy cut and popped up on dimensionals. Tucked just behind her you will see a new die-namic: Trellis and Vines. I weaved the vines through the trellis, adding the flowers and leaves. The sentiment is stamped onto our Hexagon STAX. I used some of my favourite Hot Fudge CS and Hot Fudge ribbon.

Here is the inside of the card. She was stamped in Kraft Ink and the sentiments in Black Licorice.

I hope you'll pop over to the MFT blog to see more Teasers!

{Teaser Time} Day 3

Tonight, the MY FAVORITE THINGS Design Team will be showing you THREE new sets: Inspired by the Wild West, Western Sentiments, and You Make My Day (this last months Triple Scoop Set). I made three different little projects to show you, so hang in there- this is a long post ;)

My Auntie is turning 65 this weekend, so I wanted to make her a little gift set. She is a horseman, country musician and has her own greenhouse, so I wanted this ensemble to reflect her personality. She loves bright colours too!
I used Western Sentiments, along with the new Large Leaf-filled Flourish die-namic (which I cut into sections to fit just right onto my card front), Barbed Wire Fence die (OMG!!!). The little rose basket was made using the Trapezoid Treat Box and covered with the Woven Basket die-namic. Inside the basket are both the Large Hybrid Heirloom Rose and the Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose from last month's release, as well as grass from the Fresh Cut Grass Die-namic. The sentiment was stamped onto a sign from the Howdy Frames die set. I added Hemp Cord to attach the sign as well as tied around a Hot Fudge button.
The card itself features the following MFT supplies: Circle STAX 1, Circle STAX 2, Rounded Banner STAX, Fresh Cut Grass, Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose, and Hemp Cord.

Here is project number two! I have a dear lady in my life that is turning 80 this weekend as well, and we were invited to her special birthday supper, so I made this one just for her :)
I used Western Sentiments, the new Large Hybrid Heirloom Rose and Large Leaf-filled Flourish Die-namics. The sentiment was stamped in Razzle Berry ink onto Fishtail Flags STAX and Layers STAX die cuts. I used Hot Fudge CS.
This lady is a quilter, so I thought this paper from OA (Farmgirl) would be perfect! The numbers were cut using By The Numbers dies.

Here is a close-up of that big, beautiful rose!

This is the inside, using another one of the sentiments from the Western Sentiments set.

This is my last card. I used You Make My Day, our new Hexagon STAX and Large Leaf-filled Flourish.

I did some sponging on the edges with Kraft Ink, and stamped the sentiment twice in Kraft and then Black Licorice, staggering the stamp a bit, giving it a shadow.
Here is the inside:

{MFTWSC109} You Make my Day

Time for another weekly Sketch Challenge at My Favorite Things!

I've used the soon to be released for purchase set You Make My Day (currently our Triple Scoop Set - Spend $60 in MFT products and receive this set for FREE!) I love this sentiment based set- it makes it so easy to put a sweet card together for a special recipient... It's been my Go-To set as of lately ;)

I also used a die-namic that I {GASP!} had never used before.... Sunflower! and lemme tell ya- it is one of my FAVES now!! I can't wait to use it again....what the heck was I waiting for? It embosses a beautiful pattern on the petals and little seed dots in the flower centres....You'll see a Leaf-filled Flourish tucked in behind and a hemp cord bow as well!

You can see what the other designers came up with HERE, on the MFT blog. Or visit this thread on SCS.

We encourage you all to play along, and to enter your card in the weekly draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation. {Teaser Time} Check it Out

Tonight the MFT team and our monthly guest are teasing you with two new sets from Laina Lamb Designs. Journal It: Library Card and Document It: Right This Way.

I combined the two sets and a couple of really fun new Die-namics (Insert It: 3x4 Pocket and Insert It: 3x4 Notebook Paper), to create this scrappy looking card.

I've also used my favorite ink from My Favorite Things in Wild Cherry, Black Licorice and Kraft. I distressed the card by sponging with Kraft ink.
You will also notice a Wild Cherry button tied with some yummy Hemp Cord.
I love how MFT stamps coordinate with so many of their dies. I stamped the little tag 'You'll find me here' onto a tab from the Accent It: Labels and Tabs

Here is the inside:

Here are the new Die-namics used on this card, and the new release info:

{Teaser Time} Happy Easter

Can you believe that it's Teaser Time at My Favorite Things once again? This month has some amazing stamps and dies that we're sure you will fall in love with! Tonight we are starting off with two sets from Lisa Johnson Designs. Embellished Eggs (with coordinating dies) and Spring Backgrounds.
I have two cards to show you. My first feature Embellished Eggs and Easter Elements die-namics.

Check this eggie out! I used a baby braddie to create a little hinge to open the egg (I just cut 2 eggs and cut them so that they overlap a bit). Inside I tucked in the little chick.
The sky was sponged using Sno-Cone ink and the largest cloud from the Cloud Trio Die-namic.

The grass was cut using the Fresh Cut Grass die-namics. I stamped the sentiment on a Say What? die. The new die-namics that I've used are Lattice Fence and Easter Elements. I've used Razzel Berry ink

On my second card, I made an egg shaped card using the largest of the Oval STAX 1 die-namic. I stamped the patterns on the easter egg using elements from the Spring Backgrounds set. The green flower was cut from the Easter Elements die set. I added a yellow button and some Orchid Twine. I stamped the sentiment onto a flag from Accent It: Flags and Tags. I used Black Licorice and Razzle berry ink. The patterns were stamped in Razzle berry and Sno-cone Ink

Here are the two cards together- they make a pretty cute Easter set.

Here are the new die-namics used:

{KKS163} Something Old, Something New

Our Kraftin' Kimmie challenge this week is to use something old and something new on our projects! I've had this October Afternoon: Rocket Age paper now for quite some time...whenever a really fun 'boyish' line comes out I NEED IT ALL! And then I usually hoard it and you know how that goes ;) When our last Kraftin' Kimmie release came out and featured this adorable lil boy astronaut, I knew I had to dig it out! Of course, my 'new' item is the brand spankin' new stamp Astro Boy.

Here is a close up and you can see all the sparkle I added with red, clear, silver and gold spica glitter pens. I also added an old OA button from the same line, tied with TCP's ivory linen thread.
I used my MFT circle STAX and Fishtail Flags Layers and STAX.
The sketch is this weeks SSSC176.

I know you want to see more inspiration from the Krafy Girls and you can see their lovely creations HERE on the KKS blog. You will also find some really popular stamps on sale this weekend as part of our weekly Frugal Friday specials that run Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

{TSG} Heartfelt Thanks!

Our fourth and final day!! We are so thrilled to have you all hopping along with us! We love you guys!!

Our final set for this month was designed by our AMAZING owner, Jessica Knutsen. This gorgeous tree with heart shaped leaves is perfect for not only telling someone you love them, but for saying thanks from the bottom of your heart. It could be used for so much more, too!!

I made another really CAS kind of card- I wanted all those little hearts on the tree to really stand out, so I chose to let the image take centre stage! I stamped the sentiment onto a fishtail flag STAX die (MFT) and anchored the Wild Cherry button tied with white jute (Ribbon Carousel) to a heart die (MFT as well).
I used Distress Ink in Frayed Burlap to grub up the edges :)

Heartfelt Thanks is a 3x4 set that includes a total of 5 stamps and will sell for $9.00.

{MFTWSC108} News Flash!

It's Wednesday- Happy Hump Day! That means it's time for another weekly sketch challenge from My Favorite Things!!

I've used the precious Pure Innocence: Read All About It for my card today, as well as some die cuts from the Accent It: Flags and Tags Die-namics set.

I tied some Hemp Cord around the horizontal DP panel ( I couldn't cover that fun paper up, so it moved everything on my card front up a notch! lol). The chair was paper-pieced. How could I not choose to piece when I saw this hideously fabulous pattern in the pad!!! It is EXACTLY like one of those itchy, but amazingly comfortable, tweed upholstered chair you'd find in Grandpa's house! I added the 'arm' with a bit of copic shading using my gray markers....

Inside....

Check out the MFT blog for a complete list of designers participating in todays sketch!
