I've used Undying Love for my card today- I just love these little zombies! Such fun to colour up! I cut the main DP using the Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle die and the 3 dimensional bat (cut him twice, adhering the bodies together only, so the wings could look as though they are flapping!) is from the die set Stitched Autumn Icons.

Here's the inside:

Happy Halloween!  Thanks for stopping by my blog today.

Are you ready to do more Trick or Treating!
Don’t forget to leave a comment at each designers blog for your chance to win one or our 4 TREATS. Winners will be announced in a special blog post, Monday, Nov 2nd.

{MFT} Purr-fect Birthday

Hey there! Just wanted to share with you a card I made this past weekend for my brothers girlfriend Katie, who is a bit of a cat-a-holic.  I used a retired image from My Favorite Things and tried to colour it up to look like one of her cats. I think this Authentique 'Devoted' paper is hilarious and just purrfect ;) I like that this pad has dog pages as well, cuz really who needs an entire pad devoted to just cats?? I did a ton of distressing: inking, sewing, tattered edges....and tucked a paper doily in behind. Th button I found in my stash and tied it with rustic jute twine.

The cat was coloured with Copics and shaded with some pastel pencils. I added some glaze pen to the eyes and nose of the cat costume.

I am usually too lazy to do the inside of cards, but there was a cool scrap of DP with the cat and giant yarn ball that I thought would be great for the inside, so I went ahead and completed it. I added one of the sentiments in the set as well.

{SPD} CCC06

We've got a fabulous fall colour challenge this week at SugarPea Designs! I used the sweet squirrel from Nuts About You, as well as SugarCuts: Zig Zag Stitched Circles and Stitched Autumn Icons. The sentiment is just a portion of DP. I tucked in some rustic jute twine behind the autumn die cuts and distressed everything with some inking.

 The rules are very simple…
  • Create a new card or project using the colors in the CCC6.  SugarPea Designs stamps are NOT required to play along or to win but would be appreciated :).
  • Upload to your blog or other Online Gallery using Keyword: CCC5 so that we may check out your beautiful work.
  • Add your name and link to your project in the InLinkz shown HERE.
  • One randomly selected winner will receive a $10 Gift Certificate to the SugarPea Designs Online Shoppe. However, if the winning entry features a SugarPea Designs stamp we will increase the prize to $15

{SPD} Dino-sized Thanks!

Hey there! We've got an 'Anything Goes' challenge at SugarPea Designs this week....I love these ones! Do whatever the heck ya want :) We can't wait to see it what you do with your SPD stamps and dies!

I've used Prehistoric Pals stamp set...I tried my hand at watercoloring and since I kinda suck (lol), I had to trim the dino and volcano out by hand since there was so much bleeding :(
I used the Noted set for the notebook lines, as well as the words 'note to say'. The following does were used on my card:

I added some spritzing using Perfect Paper Craftings Perfect Airbrush and enamel dots. for the 'thanks' die, I took an ombre orange pad, turned it upside down onto a piece of white CS and cut it out...I think it looks kind of tie-dye where the white bits showed through.

Check out the SPD BLOG for all of the challenge details!

{KKS} Halloween Challenge

Time for another Saturday Challenge from KKS! This week we wanna see your Halloween Projects!! KKS has a wicked selection of spooky and sweet Halloween themed stamps, and we want to see what you can do with them! I've used You're a Scream stamp set by Cheryl Grant. I coloured her up with Copics and added black glitter to the spider legs and antennae and clear glitter to the pumpkin, hair flower and the stem on the die cut. I also adhered a tiny orange rhinestone to the centre of the flower, as well as black rhinestones to the spider bodies on the pumpkin die cut embellishment (SugarPea Designs). The circle dies are by MFT.

I've used this months Krafty Sketch for my LO.

Check out the Krafty Blog to see who else is playing with me this week as well as all of the details on the challenge!

{MFT} Clowning Around

Hey there! For the first time in a LONG time, I made a card just for fun!! No deadline, no DT requirement, no new release....just made something with some products that I liked so I bought :) This actually felt really good! I had this image pre-coloured up, and stuck it in the paper pad that I had in mind when I coloured it. I was going through my IG photos and saw that I had posted the clown, way back about 3 months ago! I totally forgot that I had coloured it! So I got down to it and made a card! Now I had in mind the sketch from MFT (since I was using their products) but I didn't get the card finished in time (correction: I didn't get it photo'd and blogged in time)....So yeah, the sketch was from last week #249 (ended Tuesday), so I can't enter it, but thats okay :)

Here's the products I used: PI Clowning Around Stamp and coordinating die,  Take the Stage  die-namics,  Blueprints 3, and CS in Wild Cherry, Blu Raspberry, Black licorice, and X-press Blending CS.
Here's the post with the original sketch in it on the MFT challenge blog...
thanks for stopping in :)

{SPD} A Frightfully Sweet Sketch!

Are you ready for a new SugarSketch Challenge?!?!  It’s a fun one!  Feel free to make it your own by rotating or by changing the shapes of the panels. And remember, that each project you link up and share below is an entry to WIN a Gift Certificate to the SugarPea Designs store worth up to $15!

I played along this week using the adorable lil Casper look-a-like from the set Eek-A-Boo. I also added in some spiderweb stamps from the same set. The aqua DP behind the star panel was cut using the Heart Journal Card SugarCuts and the star panel is Scattered Stars Journal Card. I cut a circle out of the journal card using a circle die, and tucked a button in. I pieced the bowtie and banner. The rest was coloured with Copics. I added the sentiment on a vellum flag from the Gift Tag SugarCuts. I saved the lil black star cut outs from the scattered star panel and adhered them on the base panel like sequins.  Button and twine are MFT. I really like the way this came out and of course this is my all time favourite Halloween pad. My heart will be broken when it runs out! I save it for my very favourite images :)

The rules are very simple…
  • Create a new card or project using the SugarSketch provided.  SugarPea Designs stamps are NOT required to play along or to win but would be appreciated :)
  • You may rotate/flip the sketch & replace shapes – so long as the original sketch layout is recognizable.
  • Upload to your blog or other Online Gallery using Keyword: SPDSS31 so that we may check out your beautiful work.
  • Add your name and link to your project in the InLinkz shown HERE.
  • One randomly selected winner will receive a $10 Gift Certificate to the SugarPea Designs Online Shoppe. However, if the winning entry features a SugarPea Designs stamp we will increase the prize to $15
