{MFT Teasers} a la modes

Happy August Long Weekend stampy friends! You might have noticed that yesterday was the start of My Favorite Things 'teaser time'....the MFT DT previewed some new sets in many gorgeous creations! Today I am joining in the fun! I was so excited when I opened my Guest DT prize package and found TWO new a la modes:) I did a little happy dance!
I am going to show you both new sets, and I love that they are now available in clear mounts as well as rubber cling.
First up is 'I Spy'....

Don't you just love how part of her little face is magnified? So clever! I coloured her up with copics and added Crystal Effects to the glass to give it that shiny look. The edges of all the panels are inked with colorbox chalk ink in creamy brown. I machine stitched as well, using brown thread. Silver brads were added to the corners. I used a brand new Bracket Tab Dienamic for my sentiment, placing it along the card edge, vertically, rather than the front, where I would typically place my sentiment. I love the look of this, althought I admit that it was purely based on necessity;) There was literally no room on the front and I really HAD to have it, so I stuck it between the card front and the base! Call it a 'happy accident'! I also cut a brown cs die to place behind the cream, stamped one to make it look better from the back view, when the card is open.
The scallops were cut from the Simply Scallop dienamic. Some marina mist satin ribbon with bubbly bow adds just the right touch:)

And I love this Cosmo Cricket 'Odds & Ends' dp for this card. It has such a retro feel and I love the text paper. There are so many little snippets of positivity and inspiration, and I wanted this card to be about all of the awesome traits that I see in my friends- that's why I loved this specific sentiment so much! Just a card to let a fabulous girlfriend know that she hasn't gone unnoticed;)!

Okay, next we have 'Bundle of Baby'. It's a great set for both new baby boys and girls!
When I was on holidays in Victoria, a friend of mine there had her baby girl 2 weeks early, so I got to see her in the hospital! I made this card with her in mind:)

I wanted a fun, summery colour scheme, so I chose this Jillibean soup line. After colouring up this new mom (she looks WAY to good for just giving birth, If you ask me;) I cut her out and mounted her with dimensionals onto a swirly embossed oval panel. The baby is swaddled in a tiny flowery recieving blanket (pieced using the tiny print from one of the butterfly pattern dp). Tons of zig-zag machine stitching, some delicious pink seam binding and old MFT adornments finish it off!

For the inside, I used two of the sentiments that come with this set.
