{SPD} Tin Can Chat

Welcome the the fourth, and final day of Sweet Sneaks from SugarPea Designs! This week has felt like a whirlwind of cute-ness and I'm so happy and honoured to have been amongst the first stampers to launch this amazing little company :)

Today we are showing you another fun one from the Sweet P Collection (same as our Bushel & a Peck set) called Tin Can Chat!!

These two girls actually are one stamp. I stamped them out, coloured and cut straight down the middle and reversed the orientation of the girls. I then used twine (MFT) and fabric stiffener to make a curly cord. I used a white paint pen to cover up the string part of the stamp. I used Glossy Accents over the tin cans, boots and eyes (on the open eyed girl). Dress and shirt were paper-pieced. I used an MFT die and woodgrain stamp to make the sign with the Hello, Friend sentiment stamped in versafine ink. I stuck some enamel dots here and there, as it was looking a little drab.
Oh yeah, white accents were applied to their cheeks and the boots using a sharpie white paint pen. I love the big ears on these kids!! and their gappy teeth!! Typical 6 year olds ;)

Tin-CanChat will be available for purchase when we open our cyber doors at SugarPea Designs this Thursday night at 9:00 PM EST! Get ready to hop and and see what my fellow SugarPeas have created for some additional crafty inspiration!  Be sure to comment as you go because one lucky person will WIN the (insert the stamp set of the day) stamp set! The winner will be announced during our release party on the SugarPea Design Facebook Page this Thursday night from 8:00 - 9:00 PM EST!  One VERY lucky party participant will win the entire January release!

  26. Jenny: Love your card. Thanks for describing the details, it is hard to appreciate them in the computer screen. Your coloring and paper piecing are incredible. Since I adhere to the philosophy that "Growing up is optional", I can picture using these girls for cards for several of my "mature" girlfriends. Happy crafting!
