Lost at Sea~ yeah, that seems fitting:)

Well, I do feel lost at sea somedays! I think that most moms have moments where they feel like it's all going downhill fast and it would be nice for someone to just throw you a life preserver!! LOL! ONE MORE WEEK!! And then my hubby will be home:D The boys are really starting to miss him and Ryan is giving Jake the daily calendar lesson to show him exactly when daddy comes home!
So here is a card that I made for TCP's weekly challenge (TCP TUES 130). It was another one of those rascally inspiration photos!
I used the ever mischievious TCP penguins in a teacup for this one. These 3 remind me of the penguins of Madagascar.....always in hot water it seems (a little like my 3 penguins:) I wanted to use the actual teacup as my inspiration, as well as the colours. I used some retired dp from Stampin Up. I love the glitter on this stuff;) I never nose around the SS for pink, so it's good that I have occasionally bought designer paper packs from SU for my 'girly' projects:) I used SSSC88 for the layout, only I put the scallop panel (or lace ruffles in my case) on the opposite side. This card was going in a complete different direction and thats why the base is a larger size (6x6). The pengiuns and their boat were cut out and popped up on dimensional boosters. The stamped image was looking really small when my original plan was thwarted, so i added another nestie layer behind it to eat up some space. The teacup/spoon are paper-pieced. The black on the penguins are coloured with a black spica glitter pen and the beaks, feet and spoon are coloured with a clear spica pen. There are rhinestones applied around the scallops and on the sentiment label. The nesties are sponged with chalk ink. I machine stitched around the cream & pink panel and also sponged the edges of it. Some cherry bakers twine and a pink cord button finish it off.

I left the inside fairly plain as I'm not sure who will be the recipient of this one...I'll also be submitting this one for the 'Think Pink' blog hop:) Thanks for looking!
Jenny
