{RC/TGF} Blog Hop!

The Ribbon Carousel Crew is happy to be teaming up the the designers from the Greeting Farm today for blog hop that is sure to impress!

"Sprouting sunshine and smiles through stamping since 2008, The Greeting Farm is proud to bring you a cute and charming cast of characters that suits your every whim! Whether it's a sweet and lovable Anya or Ian (Anya has been our "company mascot" since the beginning!), Cheeky chic, or something a little more edgy mixed with a fun beat or two of punk, TGF is your one-stop shop for all your rubber stamping wishes! Our line has expanded from the Anya and Ian character line to some cute and cuddly animal friends, and numerous other icons such as Wild Sprouts, Cheeky Cherry girls, our bit more edgy/artsy Creeper Crew, and the lovable Oliver and Amelia who bring childhood nostalgia to everyone they meet! Our newest release, the "Beans", offer a magical, whimsical twist on a fun new character line in clear stamps and have been widely well-received so far. Thanks for visiting The Greeting Farm, where we grow smiles and bright, crafty days!"

I kinda liked the magnetic fridge art (is that a real thing?? lol) that I made the other day, so I thought I would use another bingo card from my stash to make another! I have a certain friend in mind for this one;) I used The Greeting Farm's Cheeky Mate! Isn't she a knockout! LOVE her!

That fabby thick satin centre olive ribbon is from none other than the Ribbon Carousel, as well as red and natural jute twine. I also used some really neat Antique Ruler Twill....you can't see it very well, but it's peaking out from under the green satin bow;)

I'm Back!! FFF Challenge

Guess who's back? Back again. Jenny's back. Tell a friend.
A little Slim Shady for y'all!! LOL! But seriously. Tell a friend! I only have 7 followers and I want to take over the world!;) hehe
Yes, I'm back from my nearly 3 week holiday with the fam to beautiful BC!! We had a blast, staying the first week in the Shuswap where we swam, sunbathed, rented a boat and went tubing and waterskiing (the kids loved tubing btw:), went for walks and realxed in general! Then we went on to Victoria, which is my all time favorite city!! I love it there! The weather was amazing (which was the opposite of Alberta, so I've heard). We stayed at lovely Lake Cowichan for the first few days, which is up-island for Victoria. The scenery is gorgeous there- I am in love with Lk Cowichan! Then we stayed right in Victoria and had a great time with my extended family. The kids had a great time basking in the ocean and hunting for seashells and crabs and they even fed seals in the harbour!! It was all in all a phenomenal trip! I have been up to my neck in laundry, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel (hope its not a frieght train..Yikes!!!! lol). I managed to sneak in a little stamping this afternoon while the hubby is out for a round of golf with his brother and the baby was napping. I used an image that I already had coloured (this saves alot of time, but limits supplies if you don't have your paper, etc. in mind when you start colouring- which i never do;). I managed to find some pretty decent 'matches' in the paper department. This is a sketch from Mercy for the Farm Fresh Friday Challenge. I used the Greeting Farms 'Laundry Anya' and coloured her with copics. I added some white flocking to her slippers to mimic my cozy sheepskin lined slippers. Some crazy machine stitching adds texture. I tried a new thing and printed the sentiment on a strip and attached it with a little bit of a wave. Adds a little dimension and draws your eye to the small sentiment. I can't seem to make anything without a button or two and linen thread! hehe

Isn't the sentiment adorable? It's a Kraftin Kimmie set and it has so many cute sayings! This has been my day for the mostpart...LAUNDRY! LOL Anya is just sitting there in her heap of laundry wondering "will it ever end"? I can actually hear the *SIGH*! hehe!
A close-up of the 'flocked' furry slippers and button/twine treatment. The inside was kept really simple. Scraps of the DP and a martha punch. The sentiment and hanger is from Skipping Stones Designs. I'm not a huge fan of mixing fonts, but I felt like the inside needed a few words. There was far too much white space for my comfort (hehe) and the card is a bigger one (5.5x5.5). Stampin Up actually sells enveloped that size in case you were wondering!

Supplies:
Stamps- TGF, Kraftin Kimmie, Skipping Stones Designs
Paper- CS- SU; DP- pink/green-SU, blue floral/ledger-unknown
ink- memento
Other- buttons- unkown, Thread- SU, punch- martha stewart, Copics, Flocking- Martha Stewart, Glue- Tombow, sewing machine, thread

Sexy Sharpshooter- TGF

My last post before my trip is a cute little gal from The Greeting Farm...I love their stamps! They have a good assortment of rubber and digi-stamps. Never tried their digital images, but the rubber is awesome quality..deeply etched red rubber on a cling mount.

The card base is real red CS. The black layer is embossed with a swirly cuttlebug folder and there are a few different layers of DP. I stamped my cowgirl on neenah CS and coloured her with copics. I found it hard to distinguish the black hair from the black cowboy hat, so I went over the hat with a clear spica glitterpen to give it some shine (you might be able to see it better on the close up shot below) I cut her out and popped her up on dimensionals. I tried to make it look like the crystal flourishes were coming out of her six-shooter and off her heels. She is a naughty little thing, isn't she?! LOL!! I wouldn't know anything about being a bad girl, hehe!! Bits and pieces of her outfit and boots are 'glittered' as well. The DP is also shiny and fancy looking. She also has baby braddies on her belt...I'm thinking studs, since she is a bad girl!
This is a card that reminds me of my friend Mindy. Maybe if you could see this girls back there would be a full back piece tattoo!! LOL- Then it would be Mindy for sure!!! haha

Supplies:
Stamps: Cheeky shooter, TGF
Ink: memento
CS, DP: SU
Copics: Hair, hat- C1, C3, C5, C7, 100, 0
             Skin- E0000, E00, E01
             dress: R24, R27
Other: Spica pen, flourishes, baby braddies, dimensionals

Thanks for stoppin' by! See you back here when I get home from my holiday in a few weeks!!
