{MFT} Teaser Time!!

Day one of MFT teasers!! Yippee! Today I am going to be showing you a fun new set that has tons of possibilities! It's called Blissful Butterflies, and it also has a coordinating die called Blissful Butterflies Die-namics

Oh ma gosh. Clean cards do NOT come easy for me! But I am *trying to expand my skills and not just stick to what comes easy and natural to me! So at least give me a pat on the back for putting forth the effort ;) hehe!

This card was made using both the Blissful Butterflies stamps and dies. I have a nice Black Licorice and Smooth White classic combo base, and then I jazzed it up with a pop of Blu Raspberry and Grape Jelly inks. I also used some of the elements from our new Blueprints 4 die-namics set. And you can see a little sneak peak at another set, stamped in black on that small scallop border strip. It's called Art Expression Text.

Here's the inside. I used the negative from my butterfly die cut from the front, and stamped the text on top of the cutout butterfly (in Blu Raspberry), and then sponged the whole thing with Grape jelly ink. Another one of the sentiments in Black Licorice ink.

My second card is another clean and simple design (GASP!)....

I started by using one of our new MFT Stencils (Graduated Hexagons) and spritzed some glimmer mist over the Smooth White card stock. It's a really sheer, silvery colour, so you can barely see it in the picture, but it lends just the perfect amount of sparkle to this kind of card! Remember Jenny, less is more ;)

For the main, pop of colour panel, I cut a piece of Orange Fizz CS and stamped out some butterflies in Orange Fizz ink. I left one space without a butterfly, and thats where I came in with the matching die and cut it out. The orange piece is popped up with foam dimensionals. I added a Jellybean Green button, tied with hemp cord to the centre and adhered a little sentiment flag (Fishtail Flags Layers) under the button. The sentiments, for both the cardfront and inside, are from last months PI set Make a Wish.

On the inside, I spritzed again (yes, it's kinda fun~), and added another sentiment. Oh, and remember that orange butterfly I cut from the front? Well waste not, want not! I stamped the butterfly on the die cut and added it in!
The Smooth white layer is matted with Jellybean Green CS.

Well, that's all I have for today! Be sure to have a peek at the MFT blog for some more inspiration :) Thanks for fluttering by....
