{MFT} Ahoy!

Yesterday was World Cardmaking Day and I wanted to sit down and whip up a quick card, because, well, it was a good excuse! If you can't justify setting aside some crafty time on WCD, then when can you? lol

I recently got an order from My Favorite Things, and I was kind of itching to use this little PI Pirate Boy (I love anything for lil boys!), and PI's are so darned quick and easy to colour up. It seemed like a good match ;)

For an even quicker card, paper-piecing can be a great option! I always add a wee bit of shading (usually with W1 and 3 markers) so it has some dimension still. A real pirate would probably be forced to walk the plank with this outfit, but I think a little boy pirate can get away with it just fine! I showed my lil scallywag this card and he said 'nice, but he's holding the sword the wrong way'....geesh, there is just no pleasing some people! haha! I used Western Backgrounds to stamp on the Chalkboard Frame Border diecuts in Kraft ink. I hand tore the border and added a Steel Blue button tied with Hemp cord. I added a few brads, as it wasn't feeling quite done.

I used this weeks WSC #144 for this layout.
