{SPD} Hey, Smartypants

We've got a new challenge at SugarPea Designs! Our challenge this week is SUMMERTIME SWEETNESS! I wanted to make a card using bright summer colours and it took a bit of a sideways turn and ended up 'back to school' kinda feeling....but hey, school supplies shopping is part of the summer routine! I swear I spent most of my time in Walmart looking for a NORMAL box (make that 3) of pencil crayons! I finally tracked them to some obscure centre aisle about halfway across the store from the school supply section. Good job Walmart. And toting 3 boys along for that trip was a joy :/ Thankfully they were very well behaved and even (GASP!) helpful checking things off the list! I ended up taking them out to a matinee- Tomorrowland- afterwards :)

I've used SugarCuts Notebook Journal Card, as well as the sentiment from I Like Big Books! I love this sentiment paired with the pencil die!

SugarPea Designs is also sponsoring the Freshly Made Sketches #200 Challenge!

I derailed a bit from the sketch, making my focal panel (the black notebook die) quite a bit smaller than the sketch, but I was definitely inspired by this sketch!

Check out the SPD blog for all of the details on how you can play with us!

This is so, so fantastic! And yes....I'm pretty sure I had that same shopping trip. At least you were able to channel it into this adorable creation! Thanks so much for joining our celebration at FMS!

Beautiful card... Those pencils really pop! I can still remember the joy of getting a new box of crayons in elementary school... I am sure this is a big part of why I still enjoy paper crafting today. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.
