HAPPY EASTER!
Here are my lil Easter Bunnies this morning, all bundled up in their fleece Christmas jammies! Alberta kids for sure ;)
I have a lengthy post to share with you today, so grab a cuppa and get comfy ;)
I wanted to make a set of Pure Innocence Easter cards for our family (mom/dad, brothers and SIL's and kids). We went into the city during the kids Easter break and hit the Space Science Centre, and hubby was sweet enough to map out a scrapbooking store on the GPS and drive through Chinatown to get there! Which is a biggie for him, as he is not a fan of the bumper to bumper traffic and bazillion pedestrians that the city has to offer ;) hehe!
Anyway, I stocked up on TONS of 6x6 paper pads (the saleslady actually said 'You must be a carmaker!' Ya think? lol!
I picked up this very vintage looking Authentique pad that I fell in love with. All of the cards are made with the same CS (SU) and tied together with hemp cord (MFT), cream lace, brown brads and sponging (Kraft ink- MFT). I really love the way they all turned out! I almost hate to separate them, as if they are a litter of puppies! lol
Here is a picture of them all together. I followed various older MFT sketches and a SSSC from a few weeks ago, I think.
Next up is the bunny card! I used Bunny Ears, Accent It: Flags and Tags, Hemp Cord and a Kraft Button.
Here is the final card, using Basket of Eggs stamp set. I cut her out with Circle STAX 1 and 2 die-namics. The sentiment was stamped onto a Sentiment Strips die. I used Hemp Cord and Kraft Buttons again.
Well, that's it for today! Hope you are all having a wonderful Easter filled with family, friends, food and fun!
Here is a complete list of MFT supplies that I've used on the set:
