{TI} Dreaming of Spring

This week we have a challenge over at Tiddly Inks that really is a challenge for this girl!! Spring themed cards. Guess what? It's pretty hard to make a cheerful spring card when everywhere you look is covered in a blanket of white and the snow will NOT quit falling!! I can't take it much more, lol!! I need spring to….well…spring! Enough already Mother Nature! Take your meds and lets get green already! haha!

I've used the sweet TI image: Wryn- Hanging Around on my card today. I love how she is hanging upside down! I coloured her with copics and a wee bit of pastels, using the colourless blender to add some texture to her shorts. I used a TCP cloud border die and SU ink to sponge in some clouds in the background. The sentiment is from a TCP set. I added some enamel dots and machine stitching. 

{SSSC213} Shore do love you!

Hey there! I've got a fun card to show you that features some really cute stamps from Reverse Confetti! It's been awhile since I've done some good old fashioned stamping, without getting all hung up in the colouring department, so this was a fun challenge for me (even though there is a bit of colouring on the lighthouse)! I felt a bit rusty, but a really great sketch always helps the ball rolling, and this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge was just the thing I needed! Plus, it's a smaller card this week (3.5x5.5), so it's perfect for these smaller stamps!! Win-Win!

The stamp set that I used is called Happy Harbour. 

I used circle STAX from MFT, the wave die is TE and the little heart is the PERFECT size for a little heart accent…it's Reverse Confetti's Love Note die set and I LOVE it! I added a little vellum flag (My pal Sarah has me hooked on vellum ;) ) for the sentiment.

I used this month's Reverse Confetti colour challenge…I hope it's okay that I added that pop of red ;)

{KKS} Spring had Sprung!

Welcome to another Kraftin' Kimmie weekly challenge!

This week our hostess with the mostest is KAREN !! And her challenge is SPRING HAS SPRUNG!! So create a card, scrapbook page or altered item with a Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamp that features spring in some way!! Have some krafty fun and join us this week!!

I've used one of my favourite stamps from artist Emilie Goulet, What's Up, Gnomie?  Dies are by MFT, as well as buttons and twine. I machine stitched in both straight and zig zag stitching. I also added some fun little enamel dots in various colours. The layout is this weeks Deconstructed Sketch #144.

{SSSC212} Foxy Friend!

ERMAGERD!!! I am so excited that I finally made my first Reverse Confetti card! I'm not gonna lie, I have a few sets and dies, but I am a little intimidated by graphic stamping or whatever it's called *basically all I am comfortable with is colouring, LOL! and the rest of the card seems to just fall together somehow. Without colouring, I really have no idea what I'm doing!! True story. So anyway, on my last confetti order, this adorbs little Frieda Fox found her way into my cart! Now I only wish I had ordered her bunny friend….Oh well, next time!

She is of course, coloured with copics and she has a wee denim paper-pieced dress (which is not real denim, just a nice pc of DP!). I added glossy accents to her ears (hearts! OMG!), nose (eek! another heart!), the flower centre, the big heart and her shoes….

I used a Confetti Cut Love Note die for the little heart and the heart border strip. I added an MFT button and twine to the centre of the die cut heart. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the sentiment that comes with the set! There are a few but this is my fave!

{KKS} Happy Birthday to Moo!

Well, welcome back for another fabulously FUN challenge here at Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps!! We always enjoy your creations so be sure to submit them so you can WIN MORE rubbah!! Show us your stuff!!

This week our hostess is KIMMIE!! And her challenge is PRETTY IN PINK!! So create a card, scrapbook page or altered item with a Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamp that features the colour PINK in some way!! Have some krafty fun and join us this week!!

I used the new set Down on The Farm 2 (yes, I am obsessed with this one!!) to create this feminine birthday card. Dies are by MFT *there's a little light pink button tucked into that rolled flower that is also MFT- just just can't really see it in the picture real good…I added some jute twine- that stuff is great for 'country' cards!! I added glossy accents to the bucket, her eyes and hair bow, the cows eyes, nostrils and hooves. The image was coloured with copics and pastels added in for shading.

{KKS} Cowgirl Birthday

Welcome to another Wonderful Wednesday challenge for MARCH!! And as always....it's ANYTHING GOES!!

Your submission must use at least one Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp but can be any theme, any style, any design and it can be a card, a scrapbook page, an altered item....you name it!! It must be a NEW creation and you can enter on this post until Tuesday, March 25th!! What do you think.....wanna WIN??

Sooooo, you might have noticed that I did a wee bit of stamp altering with this little 'fella' from the Down on The Farm 2 set to make he into a she!! I used my copic multiliner to draw in some pig tails to make a custom birthday card for a friends little girl, who loves horses! What do you think? I used a sentiment from the set I {heart} You and pieced the little heart with patterned paper. I made a little twine lasso and added a MFT horseshoe die and button combo.

{SPD} Embellish It!

Time for another regularly scheduled monthly challenge from SugarPea Designs! This month we are changing it up from our usual 'anything goes' to something different! GASP! By now the DT and you (I hope!) have been building up our SPD stamp collection, so challenges can be a bit more specific! This month it's still pretty non-denominational, if you will ;) We are challenging you to use embellishments on your card....so get out those  flowers, buttons, brads, eyelets, ribbon, twine, gems, whatever you have piling up around you, and add it to your card!!

I used the ADORABLE Take a Load Off stamp set, adding to th clothesline the teddy and a pair of socks! So fun how you can customize your laundry! Most of this was coloured with copics- I added some white paint specks to her red shirt. I pieced the socks (using white paint to add the toe and heal detail), the shirt on the line, and the girls headband and undershirt. I masked and used an ink pad, sponge and cloud border die (TCP) to make the sky. I machine stitched around the image panel to give it a nice finish. I added the sentiment on a vellum flag with a snippet of yellow DP in a smaller flag underneath. The banners are anchored by a button and double twine bow (MFT). 

I love that this stamps is large enough that you don't need much else! This is a standard A2 card, just to give you an idea on the size of the image.

Rules for our challenge monthly challenge are really simple! You must use a SugarPea Designs stamp set, and you need to link up your card on the SPD blog! Easy peasy, right? Just by playing along, you'l have the chance at winning some SPD cash, and your creation might just catch our eye enough to be featured as an Sweet Find! Fame and fortune, I tell ya!

{TI} Sweet Birthday Girl

I used the brand new Flower Girl Extraordinaire Faythe! Isn't she precious!! I made her into a birthday card. I might give this to my niece, who turns 7 in a few days! 

I did some machine stitching and used dies by MFT (circles, flags) and The Cat's Pajamas (butterfly, border). I added a little MFT button and twine combo on top of the butterfly. The sentiment was printed out on my computer.

{TI} St. Paddy's Birthday!

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! I have a sweet little Irish friend that just so happened to turn the big 4-0 a few days back, so I thought I would make her a card using this sweet Tiddly Inks image! I hope she loves it!

I used Good Luck Chloe (she was free for a few hours as a sweet Facebook St. Paddy's gift from Christy, but now she has been moved into the store). Don't fret if you missed out on the freebie- she's only $1.00, so go on and pick her up!

I added a computer generated sentiment, which was a verse I saw on my friends FB page today! I think she'll get a kick out of it! The clovers are an MFT flower die, of which I snipped out one of the petals to make the lucky four ;) I added in black buttons to cover up the damage I did with the scissors, lol!

I stamped the cutie from Down On The Farm 2 onto X-press Blending CS and coloured her with copics and pastels. I added white paint pen to highlight. I inked with distress ink and did some machine stitching around the main panel. The flower die is by MFT, as well as the twine. The button is from an October Afternoon collection. DP is MME- Dilly Dally, which happens to be ON SALE in the KKS shop right now! 

I used this weeks sketch from SSSC (#211) for my layout.

This card was super fun to create, just because the image is so spunky!! Making her come to life was a treat :)

{KKS} Wine Wednesday!

Welcome to another Wonderful Wednesday challenge for MARCH!! And as always....it's ANYTHING GOES!!

I've used the super swanky set Wine Me, Dine Me. I coloured with...Prisma Pencils...GASP!! I know. I feel like an adulterer . My copics are very upset with me. I stamped in memento onto kraft CS and fussy cut the bottle and wine glass, popped that up, and then just the wine glass and popped it up. The glass has a layer of glossy accents. I adhered a strip of damask pattern DP to the bottom portion along with two large black brads. The sentiment was stamped onto the kraft base and then I ran it through a EF.

{SPD} Sugar Sketch 01

 Exciting news here today! SugarPea Designs will now be hosting not one, but two challenges every month! We will still have our usual challenge, which will vary by theme month-to-month, but we are now offering another way to play along with your amazing SPD stamps and WIN!! This one will be our SugarPea Designs Sugar Sketch (SPDSS01) debut!

I've used Love You Bunches, and coloured with copics and just a touch of pastels, adding freckles with a wine coloured copic multiliner. I used MFT dies and some machine stitching. I also added glossy accents to her eyes, teeth (is that weird?), hair baubles and the centre of the flower. Paper is MME.

Important details:

• Create a new card or project using the SugarSketch provided.
• SugarPea Design stamps are NOT required to play along but would be appreciated 
• You may rotate/flip the sketch & replace shapes – so long as the original sketch layout is recognizable

So around here, we're calling this guy Sushi Chef Hayes! It's actually called Rice Rice Baby, but don't tell Mr. Hayes that ;) 

This little fella has the FUNNIEST sentiments to go with his good looks!! You are gonna love him! I coloured with copics, and added some glossy accents to the nose and feet. Dies are by MFT and TCP. The button is OA and I added some black jute twine and sequins. The DP reminded me of the Karate Kid movie for some reason! lol!
