{MFTWSC110} I Miss You

We are rollin' into sketch #110 this week, and I think it's one of my favourites!
Check it out:

I used Inspired by Time to make a masculine card. I used some Hot Fudge CS, antique looking dp, gold brads and lots of distressing to give this card some time-worn charm!

The pocket watch was stamped on an Oval STAX die and matted with Oval STAX 2. The sentiment was stamped onto the Fishtail Flags and Layers STAX and anchored with a Hot Fudge button tied with Hemp Cord.
Here is the inside, stamped onto patterned paper with some more ink distressing.

For a complete list of MFT designers participating in todays sketch challenge, see the MFT blog. Visit us at SCS here, and if you play along, don't forget to use the keyword MFTWSC110 in the online gallery for your chance to win a $20 MFT voucher!

{MFT} New Product Tour

Time for My Favorite Things New Release product tour!!! Everything is available for purchase right HERE in the MFT Boutique! And one lucky hopper is going to win a $50 MFT voucher! You won't know which of the designers blogs the hidden prize is, so be sure to comment on everyone's posts to increase your chances of winning!
Tonight I used Western Sentiments to create a CAS set of three cards. I wanted these to be quite flat for mailing , so there is none of my usual 'pile it on' style ;)

I wanted them to be matching. I used OA's Sasparilla designer paper and brown brads to tie them all into eachother, plus inking with a few different brown inks to add distressing. All of the cards have brown zig zag machine stitching around the edges. Here are some up close shots of each card:

The MFT supplies I used on the three cards are: Hemp Cord, Hot Fudge CS, Country Charms, Fishtail Flags and Layers STAX, Western Star Border Duo, and of course the new Western Sentiments and Large Leaf filled Flourish.

I also made a second card using Cute as A Button PI. I coloured her with pastel pencils (OMG- No Copics to show you today!! lol), which is something totally new to me! I kind of like how it turned out! Very soft and sweet :) Maybe I'll throw together a tutorial if there is enough interest! I could be doing it completely wrong, but I kind of just went for it with no research whatsoever completed! haha....that's kinda how this kid rolls!! Sink or swim, baby ;)

I also used the new Button Border die-namic. You'll see my trusty Fishtail Flag STAX and Layers again :) I also used the Hemp cord again, as well as a Wild Cherry Button. The inside has the new Jellybean Green ink. I stamped the front sentiment in Black Licorice.

This border is so super fun! There are buttons that are separate that you cut and pop up on the main solid layer.

The designer paper is the new October Afternoon Farm Girl pad, which I am seriously having a love affair with ;)
Here are the new dies that I've used:

{MFT} Pre-Release Pep Rally

For our Pre-Release Pep Rally, I chose to used elements from LJD Embellished Eggs stamp set and oh-so-fun matchy match Easter Elements dies to make some new Easter tags for my boys' Easter baskets! The old tags were made when the middle was a baby and he is almost 7 now (I added a tag when the 3 yr old came along). These were pathetic looking things, especially for a paper-crafter ;) It was high time I changed them out.

Here are the three tags that I made:

As I said, I used Embellished Eggs for the stamping, and the coordinating Easter Elements to die cut the stamped chick and large egg, and just used the small egg die on it's own with no stamping. The chick is fun, because the wing is separate and popped up! I added each child's initial using the By the Letter Uppercase die-namics.  The 'happy Easter' flags were made by stamping some words from the Embellished Eggs set in Razzle Berry and Black Licorice ink onto the Fishtail Flag STAX and Layers dies. The dark CS you see is Hot Fudge and I know it seems kind of harsh in contrast with the Easter colours, but I know I LOVE chocolate, especially when it's in the form of Lindt Gold Bunnies (lol), so I wanted to bring in that chocolate factor ;) I also used Hot Fudge ribbon and Hemp Cord.

The tag itself is made using the Dizzy Doily Die-namic. I cut it twice, once from CS and once from heavier white board (the kind that comes with SU 12x12 paper packs- it's white and shiny, so it looks finished from that back and it cuts easily with the Die-namics.) The circles inside the dizzy doily are Circle 1 and 2 STAX. I sponged the shy using the Wonky Scallop Border as a cloud shaped template with Sno Cone ink.

Here are some treat holders that I made with the new Cone Treat Box and Loopy Bloom Die-namic.
The houndstooth pattern was stamped onto the cones using the new LJD set Spring Backgrounds.

Here are the new Die-namics that I've used:

{Teaser Time} Hee Haw- The a la Modes!

Hold on to yer hats, folks! This is THE most CAS card I have ever made! I am trying to stretch my jeans and do some things as a designer that don't always come easy! But I actually like the way this turned out :)
I've used the new ALM: Cowboy at Heart.  He is paired with Hotfudge CS, Hemp cord, Country Charms die-namics and the new Barbed Wire die!! LOVE that one!
I did some sponging with Kraft Ink and the stamping was done in Black Licorice.

Head on over to the MFT blog to see who else has peeks for you!!
