{KKS} Lil' Athletes/ You've Got Game

GAME ON for day two of Kraftin' Kimmie's July previews, and we've got TWO sets from Cheryl Alger to show you: Lil' Athletes and You've Got Game!

Both my youngest boys played their first year of softball and T-ball this year, so I chose to use the ball player Lucas from Lil' Athletes for my card.

He's coloured with Copics and pastels. I did some sponging with Kraft Ink and added some jute twine to keep it masculine. And LOVE the sentiment! So sweet and clever and perfect for those volunteer coaches and parent that help out!

{KKS} Flower's Feed the Soul

Hi there! Welcome to DAY ONE of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps July release!! We've got two great sets from Nicole to show you today!! I am working with Flower's Feed the Soul. I adore pansies, so I was so excited to try my hand at colouring them. I normally really dislike colouring flowers, so this was a challenge for me, but I am happy with the results! I copied the colours of the flowers in one of my pots. I added one more bloom and added it on top with a dimensional.

I used some MFT dies and vintage seam binding. I also did some sponging for an antique Victorian feel.

{TSG215} Animal House

This week our challenge is brought to us by Karin! She has challenged us to make a card using animals and stripes! TSG has so many sets that include animals, this should be an easy one.

I used one of my favorite TSG sets for this one, Oh Crop! I masked the cows, coloured with copics and added glossy effects to them. I added in my own grass. The sentiment was stamped on MFT fishtail flags die-namics and I anchored it with a OA button and jute twine. The striped paper is from Simple Stories and I used X-press It blending stock and SU black CS.

To be eligible for the giveaway, create a NEW card or project using this week’s challenge, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (July 15th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the lookout to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

{KKS186} Guns 'n Roses!

It's the weekend! Hope everyone had a Happy Canada Day and Fabulous Fourth of July this week, depending on where you hang your hat and call home! We had a really fun long weekend here in Alberta, camping out and hitting up some fun Canada Day festivities with the family! We had a whole gang of us (my parents, one of my brothers, his wife and their 3 kids, my cousin and her hubby, my aunt and uncle, and of course me and my hubby and our 3 boys). So much food, fun and sun! Temperatures were +35* celsius!!! OMG. Hot! Our trailer felt like it was parked in the depths of H, E, double-hockey-sticks!!! Glad for a few 'cooler' days this week!!

This week we have a fun challenge from Diana, from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. I think maybe Diana is a die-hard GNR fan, by the title of her challenge ;) To play, all you have to do is use metal and flowers on your card- guns and roses!

Here is my card, featuring Lucas from the set Let's Dish the Dirt.

Close-up:

I coloured the image with copics, adding clear glaze pen (sakura) to the flowers here and there. My metal element on this card is obviously brads. I used various MFT dies (flowers, fishtail flags, circle). CS is MFT (lemon drop) and SU. The image is stamped on x-press it blending card in memento ink. The sentiment was stamped in MFT's black licorice. DP is by Echo Park.

I've also used this week's Mojo sketch- KKS is sponsoring, as well as a schwak of other awesome companies, so check it out! LOADS of prizes to be had!

You can check out all of the creations from the other Krafty Girls HERE! We'd love to have you play along this week! And don't forget about our sale, in celebration of Mojo Monday's 300th sketch! TSG214- Case a Trendsetter!

This week our challenge is brought to us by our Trendsetter of the week, Tobi! She is challenging YOU to make a card or project CASEing a Trendsetter…but the catch is, you have to CASE something made for the last release!! Our Trendsetters work very hard to inspire you, so show them what you got!!

I've used Scent-sational and CASE'd Trendsetter Jessie! I loved the layout that she used on THIS fabulous release card (and have a stash of spiral clips that are screaming for attention ;) )

I coloured Stinky up with my copics, using T's and C's and added some green eyes and glossy effects to his eyes and nose. The DP is MME, CS is Stampin Up!, and buttons/ribbon/twine are MFT, as well as the heart and sentiment die. Believe it or not, my spiral clips are actually from Chapters! I found them with the office supply/stationary stuff and they are in a nice, convenient lil' tin!

To be eligible for the giveaway, create a NEW card or project using the inspiration photo and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (July 8th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!
