{Tiddly Inks} Happy Birthday Cowgirl!

Hey there! Long time, no blog! I've been on holidays for the past 2 weeks, so all of my posts you have been seeing (which haven't been too many) have been pre-scheduled. I decided to whip up a card for the Tiddly Inks design team call (you can find all the info HERE). I printed off some digi's before I left and coloured up a few during the long hours on the highway! All I had to do today was put the card together :) I think TI *might* be my newest obsession!!!

I used Howdy Cowgirl, printed her onto X-press Blending stock and coloured with copics and pastels. I used some new cowgirl Carta Bella paper, SU! CS, MFT twine and dies and did a little sponging and stitching! I love the little rolls of barbed wire around the rose! So country-chic ;)
My LO is the current MOJO Monday Sketch (MOJO303).

Here's the inside. I used stamps by MFT (Howdy), SU and MFT ink.

Thanks for stopping by! Best of luck to all who are applying! I just checked out my competition and it is STEEP!!!! lol

{TSG217} You're to Dive For!

This week our challenge is brought to us by Jessie!  She has challenged us to make a card or project using the provided sketch!

I've used this cute lil diver from the TSG set: Aquaholic. This is such a fun set for the summer!! He's coloured with copics and I've added glaze pen to his snorkel, water wings, goggles and flippers!
The sentiment was stamped onto an MFT die and the button is Papertrey Ink, tied with jute twine. I paper-pierced the edges of the main panel. CS is by SU! I tipped the sketch on it's side also.

To be eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project using this sketch, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (July 29th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the lookout to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG217 so we can check out your beautiful work!

{KKS} New Release Hop!

I've got two cards to share with you for the Kraftin' Kimmie new release hop! Both use the set 'You've Got Game'! First up we have Lulu as Golf Girl!

Our lil Lulu is quite the athlete! Next she is chopping by to say hi, with some karate moves!

The sentiment was stamped on a die cut from MFT.

Below you'll find a list of links to all of the Krafty Girls participating in tonights hop!!

{KKS188} Fishin' Friends

Today at Kraftin' Kimmie stamps, we have three new sets by RAM to show you!! I used this sweet image to make a little card for my nephew.

I coloured the image with copics and coated the pond and bucket with Glossy Effects. I added some coordinating ribbon and jute twine and an orange button to tie in that orange pail :) I paper-pierced the main image panel to add interest. The sentiment die is MFT.

{KKS} Woodland Friends

I am so excited about today's card for the Kraftin' Kimmie previews! We have a great new set by one of our newest artists, Thais Narsisco, called Woodland Friends. We are also showing off the 3rd (yes, that's right!) set from Cheryl today, called Good Sports.

Now, I have to confess to you the reason why today's card excites me so much: I have NO confidence or idea what to do when it comes to colouring three main subjects: flowers, trees and animals.  This image has two of those things. I was skeered ;)
Secondly, I really am not overly clear on the exact colourings of a racoon. You RARELY see them where I live, so my experience is mostly from cartoons (LOL! Remember the show 'The Racoons'???) I'll admit that I googled 'racoon images' and went from there with my image :) I LOVE LOVE LOVE how he turned out!!! I added a bit of pastel pencils at the end to provide some deeper shades, and added glaze pen to the apples and mushrooms. I added some grass in there as well.

I added some natural jute twine and a red button, and the border die is by MFT. I sponged the edges and machine stitched in a cream thread.
