{TI} Sketch Challenge

Hey there! I have a fun masculine card for you today, perfect of one of the dads in my life for Father's Day I think…maybe my dad or my hubby. They are both into fishing…

I've used Ricky- Fishing Expert from Tiddly Inks stamps and followed this weeks challenge from our very own Lou, which is a great sketch!

I added in a vellum flag using a sentiment from SugarPea Designs.

{SPDSS05} Fishy Friend

We've got a brand new sketch challenge for you from SugarPea Designs! I love this one! You can keep the sketch vertical, or flip it horizontal as some of our Pea's did, or swap out the oval for another shape…so long as we can see the basics! We would love to have you join us in this sketch challenge- you have the chance to win up to a $15 voucher to the store!

Here are the simple rules:

• Create a new card or project using the SugarSketch provided.
• SugarPea Design stamps are NOT required to play along or to win but would be appreciated 
• You may rotate/flip the sketch & replace shapes – so long as the original sketch layout is recognizable 
• Upload to your blog or other Online Gallery using Keyword: SPDSS05 so that we may check out your beautiful work
• Add your name and link to your project in the InLinkz shown on the SPD blog.

I've used the adorable set Don't be Koi, from our Sweet P Collection, on my card today. I coloured with copics and pieced her little shirt. I paired the great sketch and stamp with some Simple Stories Vintage Bliss paper, a Reverse Confetti heart die, and MFT button and twine. The oval and flag dies are MFT as well. 

I am soooo in love with Wendy's stamps- they are cute, fun and actually VERY easy and straightforward to colour. So don't feel like you have to be an advanced colourist to pull off these cute line art stamps!! They are for EVERYONE and ANYONE! AND- they are all ON SALE right now! That's right, a Summer Sale! Each and every stamp is marked down! Now's the time to buy if you've been dreaming up a wish list :) 

{MFT} Mickey Mouse Birthday

EEK! I'm so excited about this card! It's one of those ones that just came together far better than I even imagined!

I've used the super cool LLD Magical Memories stamp set and coordinating LLD Magical Memories  die by MFT. I thought this set would be so perfect for our recent trip to Disneyland and I think it's going to be great for cards too! I bought this Simple Stories Disney looking paper ages ago and just cracked it open. I added in some gold and black sequins from I {heart} Papers. I used Circle Stax for the mouse head and ears. The twine is also by MFT. I was so excited to find these black button shaped brads in my stash!

 The sentiment was heat embossed in black onto a fishtail flag die. 

Here is the inside. Pic is a little blurry, but I heat embossed a sentiment in here as well, and added some more star dies and sequins.

I've used the cutest birthday image EVER, Julie, for my card. I absolutely adore this stamp and every time I wanted to make a KKS b-day card I'd look for her, and after rummaging around my bins, I'd come up empty and remember that I didn't have her!! Heartbreak over and over again! Until I finally remembered to order her! Thankfully she came to live with me before the Birthday Challenge, so I am happy!

I cut her 'out-of-the-box' style and used one of my fave bday paper collections from October Afternoon. The dies are from MFT, as is the twine, and I added a yellow button from my stash. I added some enamel dots as well.

I've used the sweet set Friends to the End and made a Gate Fold card (thanks Sarah!) I pieced her shirt and headband. The rest was coloured with copics and I added some sponging for the cloud sky. I added the sentiment onto some fishtail flags dies, overlapping to the other side when the card is closed. I added in some twine and buttons to anchor the sentiment a bit.
