{TSG} Boot Camp/ Get In Gear

Here we are at day two of this month's release, and we have two more SUPER cute sets from Torico!!

Steampunk is one of our FAVORITE styles here at There She Goes, so when we saw the new Get In Gear set from Torico, we all squealed with delight. She is so sassy, funky, and FABULOUS. Also, the gears included in this set could TOTALLY be used for a CAS boys card, or building a background. SO versatile!

I have used Bootcamp on my card, and as I basically know no one in the military, I thought it would be nice to make my dad a thankyou card for all he does for us! I went a little more 'rugged work boot' mans-man with this one. My dad is a farmer, so I used earthy colours and also wanted the feel of natural elements with a little bit of grit, so I added some brown jute from the Ribbon Carousel.

{RC} High Hopes Blog Hop

The Ribbon Carousel Crewmates are teaming up with the High Hopes DT to bring you a chillin' blog hop!

High Hopes sent us some "cool" stamps to play with.  With High Hopes Stamps AND some ribbon and twine from the Ribbon Carousel, we're wowing you today with gorgeous creations!  

I stamped my moose in Memento ink, coloured him up with Copics, and added a white dot pattern to his sweater and toque with a toothpick and my copic opaque white paint. The DP is BasicGrey and the CS is from SU! I added an October Afternoon button, threaded with brown jute twine, over a length of Chocolate Grosgrain ribbon, both from the Ribbon Carousel.

{TSG} Size Matters!

Today we are showcasing two new sets: The Doxie with Moxie, and Size Matters.

It’s no secret, we are DEFINITELY in love with everything Torico does here are There She Goes, and we know you are, too. This month she has honored us by creating a set that we have been begging for…meet The Doxie with Moxie!! SUPER cute dachshunds, along with several sentiments, outfits, and even a city scene for our more “elegant” pups, this set is just TOO much fun.

The Doxie with Moxie is a 4x8 set that includes a total of 32 stamps and will sell for $18.00.

When brainstorming The Doxie with Moxie set, there was a lot of chatter about sentiments…and some of them took a turn for the funny, but…risqué, lol! We couldn’t live without them, so we decided to create the Size Matters set. It’s not for everyone, but it’s definitely funny!!

Size Matters is a 3x4 set that includes 7 stamps for $9.00.

My lovebirds are coloured with copics (LOVE the sailor suit, lol). I added some MFT dies (star border and small scallop) and silver brads (Michaels). A very CAS layout for me :D

{RCC76} Warm Winter Wishes

I've used My Favorite Things WTG Gets Cozy with Cocoa. Her sweater, scarf and gloves are all paper-pieced. I added the sentiment in Black Licorice ink onto a Ticket Tab die-namic. The brown cardstock is MFT's Hot Fudge.
The gorgeous crochet ivory and cocoa hemp cord are of course, from the Ribbon Carousel!

I added some brown machine stitching and sponging to the edges with distress ink in frayed burlap.

{MFT} Creative Challenge

Each month the My Favorite Things designers are challenged to really stretch our creativity and think outside of the box! This month's challenge theme is Round And Round- come up with some fun and different uses of our Circle STAX dies!

 My first card has some artistic flair and I really love how this one turned out! I used coffee filters and cut out various circles with Circle STAX 1 and 2 dies. I then used some OA Sprinklers to 'flick' ink onto the circles- this is messy, so I did it in my garage! You get more of a paint spatter effect this way (you can see on the inside where I did both the flicking and 

 spraying with the pump). I stitched the circles onto my CS, adding a heart die (Hearts A Plenty) and Mini Film Strip die. The sentiments on this card are from the set You Make My Day (this months Triple Scoop set). My CS is Wild Cherry, and I used Black Licorice MFT ink.

My second card was really fun to make as well! I was brainstorming some ideas for uses of the Circle STAX dies and was looking at them all stacked nicely together and thought 'Hey! They look like a Bullseye!'...so that's how this idea came to be ;)

I made an arrow using a die from the set Accent It: Labels and Tabs. An arrow from Lead the Way would have been great, but I don't have that set, so I had to improvise ;) The heart on the end is the smallest from the set Heart STAX. I cut three, scored them down the centre and adhered them all together to be dimensional. The arrow stamp from the set Lollipop Additons: Love was perfect to add to the sentiment. The arrows were stamped in Wild Cherry Ink and the sentiment (from Lovey Dovey Sentiments) was stamped in Black Licorice Ink.

{TSG191} Long Neck

It's time for There She Goes Stamps weekly challenge! This week we have a sketch by Danielle, for you to follow:

 I used one of my TSG fave's (one of the first stamps I got from this awesome company!) Zoo-Pendous.....
I wanted to 'stretch' out my giraffe's neck, so this is how I did that (just inked the top portion and stamped and cleaned the stamp, then ink the bottom portion of the image and do the same, trying to keep the neck in alignment). I did use my copic multi liner to finish drawing in the spots and neck on the bits that were uninked when I did the top and bottom of the giraffe.

I used MFT's Jumbo Cloud STAX, Farmhouse DP, Michaels brads and Stampin' Up CS.

{KKS162} Ryan's Card

Hi there! Today I have a really fun card to share with you! My oldest son, Ryan, is turning 9 in February. He is also in need of glasses, which he is at his wits end about! He honestly is so devasted..I gave him a home eye exam and he bawled his little eyes out when I told him it didn't go well. Break. My. Heart.
He has a professional exam booked for the end of January, as I am not a licensed optometrist, lol!
Being the Computer Nerd that he is, I thought this would be the perfect image for a card for him. Something to maybe make him feel better about his impending spectacles ;)
This weeks Kraftin' Kimmie challenge (#162) for the week is brought to us by my pal Jessie and she wants us to use 3 embellishments on our card!

Are you wondering if that is a real computer key? Why, YES, it is! My sweet, angelic little toddler was acting awfully quiet one evening for his daddy, and when my hubby went and looked for lil man, he found my laptop and PILES of keys and an adorable child playing ever so independently. On the plus side, I got a new Macbook Pro to replace my old HP!

We tried to fix it, but those tiny fingers did a lot of damage, so I rescued the keys from the trash in hopes of giving them another chance! Albeit on a card front, but at least they have a new lease on life ;)

And that smart lil fella even plucked off the number 9 key, perfect for his big brothers Birthday card! It was meant to be, I guess:)

I found that cute brad in a little scarpbook store in the middle of nowhere on a trip to Montana way back in the summer. It was literally on the side of a highway in the middle of nowhere, and hubby was feeling generous, so he even pointed it out and offered to stop!! (I later checked him for a fever, but shopped first ;)

My twine is black jute from the Ribbon Carousel.

I gave the lens' a nice coat of crystal effects....
