Tonight I have a really exciting announcement that I can finally share with you! My friend/ famous stamper and sketch designer, Karen Giron, has asked me to join the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge team!!! Whoop!!! I wanted so bad to try out for the open call she had awhile back, but I just had too much on my plate to consider that I might possibly get chosen, so I didn't even chance entering, LOL!! Imagine not entering for fear you might win!! That was me!
Anyway, some things have cleared off my overflowing plate, so I was thrilled when she asked me to join such a tremendous group of stampers!! Check out Karen's SSSC blog to see who else is being added to the roster!
Here is the sketch:
I turned the sketch upside down. Yes, guilty. First week in, and already messing with stuff ;)
I used this sweet digi from Whimsie Doodles, Winter Cup. I know Christmas is over, but it's freezing and snowing here, so I thought 'Hey, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em'...Hopefully I'll be one step ahead by next Christmas with the cardmaking!
He is coloured with Copics and pastel pencils. I added some Glossy Accents to his eyes, carrot nose and candy cane. Highlights were dotted on his cheeks using a sharpie fine tipped paint pen in white.
Be sure to check out what the other Sweet Stampers have been up to!
Hey there!! I am so excited to be this months Guest Designer at Crazy 4 Challenges (C4C)! So every Saturday in January, you will be seeing a new C4C card from me! This week's challenge is a New Year's Inspiration~ Happy New Year! Be
inspired by this photo – the subject, colors, accents, or theme – whatever
speaks to you!
Here is my card, inspired by the lovely photo you see above!
Perfect opportunity to ink up this Uptown Girl from Stamping Bella. I am an Uptown collector, but this is the first ever in my stash to see ink! GASP! This is Opal the Optimist.... I used gold and silver CS from SU, a Taylored Expressions cutting plate, MFT flag die and some little glitzy faceted gemstones. She is coloured with Copics and I've added Spica pens, Rock Candy glitter and Glossy Accents.

I've used this little sweetie, A Gift For You. I added some Rock Candy glitter to the ribbon, and white pen to the package and the bears cheeks. Dies, twine and sentiment are by MFT. Button is from October Afternoon.
Happy New Year's Eve!! For years I have loved looking at my blog feed when the end of the year comes around! I always enjoy the recap of a persons favourites over the year...however, I have never done up a post like that. Until now. I am so excited to have a bit of time before the craziness of January comes into high gear! I have a couple of new teams that I'll be joining this month (one you know of, one you don't) and I'm guest designing for two companies/challenges as well! So, it's gonna get hairy around here this month!
Onto the post! Here are some of my very favourites from the past year....You can click on the month to be re-directed to the original blog post.
January- This is the card I made for my oldest sons 9th birthday (which is in February). I used the #9 key that my littlest boy pulled off my laptop when I was at a scrapping retreat. I now have a new laptop ;) The image is from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and it looks just like Ryan.
February- Well, I couldn't narrow it down to one!! First up there was this cute PI Easter card from MFT....
Second is another KKS card...I loved these characters! They reminded me of Pixar!
March- this was a challenge to use your favourite KKS stamp! I have always loved this image :)
April- I made this sweet card for my hubby from our three 'monkeys' for their daddy on Father's Day....He loved it! The stamps are from There She Goes.
May- I loved this summery release from KKS...this Jacquie Cousteau image is so sassy!
June-
I made this card using an image from Whimsie Doodles- Canadian Girl.
July- I have two faves for this month! First is a card I made for Tiddly Inks DT tryouts....I ended up securing a spot on the team with this one :) I am a sucker for cowgirl/boy images!
My next card I was really proud of, because I am SCARED of colouring animals!! So I was pretty tickled when this came out as cute as it did!! this is a stamp from KKS!
August- I have another card up using a Tiddly Inks digi. This guy is soooooo cute! love him :)
September- A couple for this month. This Baker Wryn from Tiddly Inks was so fun to colour up!
Really like this Santa and Pup card. Image is by Kraftin' Kimmie.
October- I have a few for this month as well ;) I loved the way the colouring turned out on this card! Image is by TSG.
Here's another TSG card- this zombie is my fave!! I {heart} him!
November- Awe, this lil AlfaAlfa stamp, by Kraftin' Kimmie, melted my heart!
Eva (also by KKS) is also one of my favourites!!
December- I printed out my first Mo Manning digi's and boy oh boy, I am hooked! I adored these two eskimo stamps!
Okay, there you have it! My faves of 2013!!! Hope you all have a wonderful New Years eve! I'll be back tomorrow with a special blog hop! Thanks for your support during the past year! I look forward to sharing more with you in 2014!! xxoo
Hey there- just popping on to share a Christmas card that I made and didn't get around to blogging! This one features another digital image by Mo's Digital Pencil, called Igloo.
I coloured it with Copics, and added Stickles Rock Candy glitter to the igloo blocks. I really love how the igloo turned out!! I used a Spellbinders die, SU ribbon and a Dress It Up button glued on top of the bow. The sentiment is from a MFT PI set.
Hey there! Long time, no blog!! You can't blame me too much.....my hubby sprang a spontaneous Vegas vacation on me! But we are back now, and somewhat recuperated just in time for the holiday season!
I have a few Christmas cards to share with you before the big day...
Both cards use digital images by Mo Manning from Mo's Digital Pencil. This first card uses the sweet Snow Pals.
My second card features Siku and Shiya. I loved colouring the fur on these little cuties!! I used the sketch from SSSC #200 this week. I changed up the oval for a square.
I've also entered one of these cards into the final challenge of the year for Mo's Challenge Blog- which was to enter your fave Mo card of the year. I've only made 3, all in the last few days, so I didn't have to scroll through the whole year! lol
I have another sweet card to share with you tomorrow, so come back then!!
