MFTGUESTDT0810

Wow! My very first post EVER!! I am so excited to be starting this rollercoaster blogland ride, but I'm also really nervous for a few reasons: 1) I am basically the worst computer saavy person out there (besides my mom and dad- therefore I am genetically predisposed to be a stunted technology wise) and 2) I'm afraid I'll have no 'followers' and this will all be a waste:) Oh well, here it goes anyway!!
I made this card for the My Favorite Things August guest designer challenge, but alas, the kids were being rotten and I wasn't able to finish it until they went to sleep, so I think that I missed the deadline to enter:( Boo to the kids!! I will eternally blame them for not winning all the MFT goodies!! And I LOVE MFT! Double Boo!

I also can never seem to photograph my cards to show how nice they actually are...any tips on that? Here is a close up. I am pretty new to the world of coloring with Copics (a couple of months), but I think I am doing okay so far:) This was my first try at auburn hair. I thought that colour of hair would go great with these dp's and I like the result.

Deets: Paper-pieced her dress, tights and hair pretty; Added glittery look to her hair pretty, shoes, dress ruffle with spica glitter pen; Added organza flower and copic coloured pearl to flower

Supplies:
Stamp: Jolinne- Just for you, MFT
DP: October Afternoon Thrift Shop collection
CS: SU!
Fibers: Ribbon- chatterbox, Twine- SU!, Fabric Flowers- Prima
Buttons: MFT
Dies: MFT (rolled flower and open scallop), Spellbinders
Ink: Memento tuxedo black, SU! soft sky
Other: embossing folders (cuttlebug, SU!), Bigshot, Copics

Well, that's it for tonight!! I have a few cards done that I'll try and get photographed and add soon:) Thanks for stoppin by!!
