{KKS141} Duck, Duck..........Duck?

Hello!! Today's Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge (#141) is being hosted by Angie. She wants us to use an animal or insect image- NO PEOPLE!! I used an oldie for this one....Buggy Full of Ducks. Unfortunately, it isn't available for purchase anymore, as it's retired.
I've also used some old paper. Let's just call this a vintage card;) I had been in search of this particular paper pad (old October Afternoon) for sometime, and my sweet pal Jodi sent me some out of the goodness of her heart:) What an angel! lol

I made this card pretty gender-neutral. My SIL is expecting a baby in September, so this might be for her...and we don't know if baby is a she or a he!! I PUFFY HEART those kind of surprises!! Eek~ so excited!

I've also used ribbon and twine from my very favorite ribbon store, the Ribbon Carousel. Here you can see Ivory jute twine and orange satin double banded grosgrain ribbon. And they are having a HUGE summer blowout sale!!! Check it out! Savings from 30-50% off!

And guess what else? Kimmie asked her daughter Emileigh to choose a boatload of her favorite Kraftin' Kimmie stamps and the prices on those stamps have been knocked down 30-50% off as well!! Ack!! Gotta love that!

And just cuz I'm in a good mood with all these wicked sales about....I have decided to throw together some Kraftin' Kimmie and Ribbon Carousel BLOG CANDY!!! Whoop! I'm not telling you exactly what is in the prize, but it's definitely going to be a gooder (and it will include this image, as well as many others)! All you have to do is leave a comment on this post. It can be about anything, but since I am leaving on a 2 week vacay why don't you tell me about your favorite holiday or family vacation! The funnier and more dysfunctional, the better;)

(Please note: The winner won't be announced until I get home near the end of August, so you have lots of time to comment)

Very pretty card Jenny..enjoy your vacation as well...I only just started overcoming my fear of flying in the last 6 years...finally decided to live life and go for it...but my first flight I held onto hubby for the whole 5 hours..cried alittle and shook alot...by the time we landed we were both soaking wet with sweat from being melded together for so long...but bless his soul he didn't peel me off him til we landed...but the best part of it was I did something I would never have had the opportunity to do if I hadn't got on that plane...swam with a dolphin..that also terrified me but was on my bucket list of sorts...what an experience!

Are you going on a Griswold vaca??? Adorable duck image....and papers are fabulous! Went to Hilton with family and daughter's friend for a long WE! Now Hilton head is gorgeous and has fabby places to stay...went through a rental company instead of going on line etc. The place had been trashed for years by college students...honestly when I was in college I wouldn't have stayed there....walked in and immediately had to tell everyone not to touch anything...even the walls...spent a few minutes whipping my head around and saying "don't touch, don't touch"! Needless to say we were at the rental office and getting a new place pronto! I was an unhappy girl considering how much I had paid!

This card is so bright and cheerful! Just love it! Would love to win the candy!
I've never been on a 2 week vacation but want to soon.
Best vacation with kids was a trip to Disney World when they were the perfect age! Best adult vacation my DH and I took was a trip to Antigua.

Hi Jenny,
Your cards just amaze me! Such creativity!! My best holiday is the one I'm on right now at our new "holiday house". Hope to have many trips out here with the family.

oh my gosh.. this is adorable. Love that ribbon.

My favorite holiday vacation was a couple of Christmas's ago. My family went to the U.P. of Michigan and the lakes in the town we were visiting were all frozen.. I had never walked out on a frozen lake before and it was so much fun. The kids and I walked way out to some shanties (sp?) where people do ice fishing.... such a great time and wonderful memories to remember for a lifetime.

Oh, Jenny!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!! :)

Hope you had a wonderful vacation! I don't get out much, but when we do travel, it ends up being with 4 or more of my husband's 6 siblings. Need I say more?! ;) You can just imagine...

Thank you so much or sharing your time & talent with us (& for the chance to win-even though I am a late bird),

Jenny these card is adorable! Your coloring is wonderful. My favorite vacation was my first trip to Disneyland at the age of 50. I had such fun being able to live out a childhood dream and to share the experience with my kids! Hope yours is fun and restful.
