{MFT} WSC123

Sigh! Another MFT release under my belt! I am dog-tired! Is everyone broke from the awesome new release shopping??
For my sketch challenge card this week (#123), I used the stamp set Document It- Right on Target (for the sentiments, inside and out) and the new Accent It- Feathers and Arrows to create those super fun and trendy feathers! LOVE! So much fun!

I wanted to go with kind of a western look with this card, but to keep the colour scheme really bright and fun! I created the pony speckled background paper with Western Backgrounds (which has been occupying a spot on my desk for the last 2 weeks! I haven't even put it away, I am using it so much! Trust me. You need.) I stamped it in Black Licorice ink (as well as the sentiments). The verse was stamped onto a Fishtail Flags die. I added a purple large gem and 2 clear crystals in the corner.

The card stock colours that I chose were of course smooth white for stamping on, Grapesicle, Blu Raspberry, and Black Licorice. I always like to have a POP of something bright, so I added a Razzleberry button tied with Hemp. Other colours would have looked great too I think (orange fizz, red hot)

Here is a closeup shot of those feathers! They cut with a scored line down the centre, so they are really easy to bend a bit with your fingers to get that dimensional look! I think I'll be using these a lot.....even tucked in behind flowers, like a sprig of greenery would be! Feathers are so trendy right now- even in wedding bouquets! Crazy! I remember being a feather collector as a kid with my brother- one of my dads quonset's had a ton laying around. We'd bring them in the house and mom would holler at us to get those dirty things out of her clean house and go wash our hands! lol

Here is the inside. I've stamped the feather from the set twice (inking once) in Razzleberry ink and the sentiment in black. I added some crystals to keep with the theme.

Stamp along with us this week and there is a $20 prize voucher up for grabs! Perfect for shopping our new release! Remember to use the keyword MFTWSC123 when uploading to an online gallery.
