It's the weekend! Hope everyone had a Happy Canada Day and Fabulous Fourth of July this week, depending on where you hang your hat and call home! We had a really fun long weekend here in Alberta, camping out and hitting up some fun Canada Day festivities with the family! We had a whole gang of us (my parents, one of my brothers, his wife and their 3 kids, my cousin and her hubby, my aunt and uncle, and of course me and my hubby and our 3 boys). So much food, fun and sun! Temperatures were +35* celsius!!! OMG. Hot! Our trailer felt like it was parked in the depths of H, E, double-hockey-sticks!!! Glad for a few 'cooler' days this week!!
This week we have a fun challenge from Diana, from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. I think maybe Diana is a die-hard GNR fan, by the title of her challenge ;) To play, all you have to do is use metal and flowers on your card- guns and roses!
Here is my card, featuring Lucas from the set Let's Dish the Dirt.
Close-up:
I coloured the image with copics, adding clear glaze pen (sakura) to the flowers here and there. My metal element on this card is obviously brads. I used various MFT dies (flowers, fishtail flags, circle). CS is MFT (lemon drop) and SU. The image is stamped on x-press it blending card in memento ink. The sentiment was stamped in MFT's black licorice. DP is by Echo Park.
I've also used this week's Mojo sketch- KKS is sponsoring, as well as a schwak of other awesome companies, so check it out! LOADS of prizes to be had!
You can check out all of the creations from the other Krafty Girls HERE! We'd love to have you play along this week! And don't forget about our sale, in celebration of Mojo Monday's 300th sketch! Enter MOJO300 at the checkout for 20% off all orders over $30!! That includes paper pads, EZ Mount, and stamps!!
