{SPD} Embellish It!

Time for another regularly scheduled monthly challenge from SugarPea Designs! This month we are changing it up from our usual 'anything goes' to something different! GASP! By now the DT and you (I hope!) have been building up our SPD stamp collection, so challenges can be a bit more specific! This month it's still pretty non-denominational, if you will ;) We are challenging you to use embellishments on your card....so get out those  flowers, buttons, brads, eyelets, ribbon, twine, gems, whatever you have piling up around you, and add it to your card!!

I used the ADORABLE Take a Load Off stamp set, adding to th clothesline the teddy and a pair of socks! So fun how you can customize your laundry! Most of this was coloured with copics- I added some white paint specks to her red shirt. I pieced the socks (using white paint to add the toe and heal detail), the shirt on the line, and the girls headband and undershirt. I masked and used an ink pad, sponge and cloud border die (TCP) to make the sky. I machine stitched around the image panel to give it a nice finish. I added the sentiment on a vellum flag with a snippet of yellow DP in a smaller flag underneath. The banners are anchored by a button and double twine bow (MFT). 

I love that this stamps is large enough that you don't need much else! This is a standard A2 card, just to give you an idea on the size of the image.

Rules for our challenge monthly challenge are really simple! You must use a SugarPea Designs stamp set, and you need to link up your card on the SPD blog! Easy peasy, right?
