{TI} Flowers!

I've used the newly released digi, Peachy Pixie from Tiddly Inks stamps. This week our challenge is FLOWERS! Spring is finally on it's way here in Alberta, and I for one, am VERY exciting about seeing some green….This has felt like one of the longest winters ever!!

I coloured up this lil cutie and her friends with copics and added a touch of Wink of Stella pen in clear, to her wings and the birdies…. The enamel dots are of course present- my latest addiction! Trust me, that reddish looking one is actually a nice coral pink! Sometimes the pic just doesn't cooperate :) I made my flowers with DP and MFT dies, adding a button and twine bow to the centre. The sentiment is from a PTI set. I used my very favourite pad at the moment, Vintage Bliss by Simple Stories.

{SPD} Perfect Paper Crafting/ SugarPea Designs BLOG HOP!

 Today, the SugarPeas are teaming up with the Perfect Paper Crafting design team to bring you a fabulous blog hop filled with SugarPea Designs sweetness and sweet crafting tools from our friends at Perfect Paper Crafting. You are sure to be inspired and you could WIN a fabulous prize!!

I am lucky enough to design for both of these FABULOUS companies! Yep, I am brand new to the Perfect Paper Crafting team and I've been having tons of fun using my new PPC tools!

For this card, I've used the super handy Perfect Layers Mini, which is the perfect size for card makers, Perfect Cutting mat (I love the size of this mat- it's big enough that your projects don't keep creeping off the side of the mat, and it's small enough that it won't take up a huge amount of space on your desk) and the Perfect Airbrush to add a little spritzing to my paper!

I absolutely LOVE this stamp by SugarPea Designs called Tweet Friend. And the versatility of SPD stamps just makes me happy! Sentiments in this set include: friendship, thinking of you, new home, new baby, expecting mothers!

I coloured her up with Copics, and added some shading with pastel pencils. I did a wee bit of sponging clouds in using a cloud shape die as a template. Dies and twine are by MFT, DP is Chickaniddy, and I added some gorgeous paper flowers given to me by one of my besties, fellow SugarPea Tracy Valure…isn't she the sweetest?!? I just about fainted when I opened a box sent to me FULL of flowers!! What a treat :)

I added in some machine stitching and her dress was stamped 4 times! I layered and flared each layer of the skirt….the little yellow flowers were also stamped again, fussy cut and adhered in the centre only for a bit of dimension on the petals….

Here's a close-up of some of that gorgeous spritzing! I really had fun with that tool…I used a brown Tim Holtz distress marker and it fit perfectly and the tool did a wonderfully subtle job with the ink.

Well hello there, ador-a-bull!! I used the CUTEST little bull from the set Hug-A-Bull from our Beanstalk Collection, and just cut him apart from his little matador friend. I think it works great and now you have the option of making a farm themed card or whatever!! And guess what? He looks so cute next to the little goat from Totes Ma Goats too!! 

I used some MFT blueprint dies, October Afternoon 'farm girl' paper and coloured up this little guy to look like a Hereford bull calf with my copics!! Everything is popped up using SU dimensionals, so even thought this card is a CAS, there is lots of dimension to make it interesting!

{TI} Flower Pixies

Today I've got a fun new digital stamp to show you from Tiddly Inks. Christy has drawn up a bunch of new pixies that are perfect for spring!

I've coloured them up with copics and pastels and added white pen highlights to their cheeks, and a bit of loose glitter to the white fuzzie's (yes, I know, I am quite the botanical whiz….) The gorgeous sentiment is by Papertrey Ink and the twine and CS are MFT, button from my stash.

I added in some glossy accents to the frogs/boys eyes and the puddle. The flag die is MFT as well and the woodgrain embossing plate is by Taylored Expressions. The DP is Simple Stories, A Charmed Life.

{KKS} Rainy Day Fun!

Welcome to day ONE of our APRIL Kraftin' Kimmie Previews!!! Today we are excited to share a supah cute new set featuring Lulu, Lexi and Lucas! It's by artist Cheryl Alger and will help us welcome spring! We are sharing samples today featuring.......RAINY DAY FUN!!

Eek! I love this little girl! I pieced the umbrella, but everything else is coloured with copics and pastels and I added some white dots in with a sharpie paint pen. The lower centre of the umbrella has a pop dot under it and the rest is secured with score tape. It has a nice dimensional look. The DP is Simple Stories 'I heart Summer' and available in the Kraftin' Kimmie store HERE. The dies, button and twine are by MFT.

Welcome to another Wonderful Wednesday challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and as always....it's ANYTHING GOES!! What will YOU create??!!

I've used the stunning Rayne on my card today….I just love how her hair turns into water!! Nice tushie, huh!?! hehe….I kept it simple and used some silver CS, teal netted ribbon and SU crystal adhesive dots.

{SSSC/SPD} Congrats Grad!

I've got a brand new card to share with you tonight, that uses a brand new stamp from SugarPea Designs and a brand new sketch from SSSC!! If that doesn't entice you, then I honestly don't know what will ;) haha!

Anyway, this handsome little fella was released just this past week from the lovely SugarPea Designs called Hats Off to You…. I just know you are gonna love him!! He's just jumping for joy, he's so excited to be graduating! Wow, I remember those days :)

This is the perfect graduation set…it has a sweet girl version of the grad, as well as tons of sentiments and a few accessory stamps as well!!

{RC} Hey Chickie!

I decided to have some Easter fun with my new Reverse Confetti haul! I made a card and coordinating treat bag with tag using the new Carton Cuties and co-ordinating Carton Cutie Confetti Cuts dies. For some reason, I love egg cartons! I know that sounds strange, but I think it reminds me of my childhood and helping my grandma with her chickens…I'm gonna go with that explanation anyway. lol!

This card has tons of dimension! The carton was actually cut twice, so the lower section is popped out even beyond the chick and eggs to make it look more 3 dimensional! Here's a side view:

A close-up of the little matching tag on the bag of chickie peeps!

  For the tag, I've used a strip of the Love Note scallop rectangle die. The main tag and the banner is from the Tag Me confetti cut.

Here's the card on it's own. I cut two Love Note scallop rectangle dies, fussy cutting the inner rectangle portion of one of the patterns and mounting it on foam dots over the green patterned cut. I coloured the carton a bit with some copics right onto the Kraft CS. The little sentiment banner is again from Tag Me.
I used this months SFYTT for the card layout.

OMGGGGGG! Look at the cute lil bow tie on the chickie!!

I tried a few new things on my card for this weeks challenge! First, I used the no-lines colouring technique, meaning I stamped the image with a light coloured ink, rather than the usual black. It definitely lends to a softer look, maybe even a bit watercolour-y…. Secondly, I tried my hand at creating a little sky background by colouring in my own clouds. Honestly, I am not overly happy with my pics lately…my iPhone is taking better photographs than my Nikon. That's more than a little disappointing. I am gonna try to set up my light tent thingy again! Maybe that will help. I wish you could see this card IRL. It's so much nicer.
