{YNS} Baking With Ellie

My Guest DT gig for Your Next Stamp is winding down, with the end of July nearing...where oh where has the time gone? Not working or having the kiddos in school, makes for days of not looking at the calendar. I seem to never know the date and then I looked and am shocked! Plus I seemed to have lost a week with our little impromptu holiday. Loads of family fun, but really threw my stamping plans for a loop. I had planned to get a few more YNS cards done this month, but life got in the way. You will definately see more of these sweet stamps on my blog...I am smitten with these cute kids!
I did quickly stamp a few images on chunks of CS and took my copics on a roadtrip! This image I coloured while driving down the highway..Not me behind the wheel! I can hardly change the radio station while driving.....Hubby was in the drivers seat and I happily coloured away in the passenger seat;) And I think I did a pretty darned good job, considering the way the old man drives! Lot's of brake-slamming, bumps, curves and even some dark tunnels that I didn't know were coming:) LOL! I tell ya, I should have been a surgeon with these steady hands!
I used this weeks Sketch Saturday #165 layout, which YNS just so happens to be sponsoring! I used the adorable Ellie Loves to Bake for my card, using her little gingerbread friend accessory stamp that comes with the set.

I pulled out some MME paper and coordinating bakers twine (I NEVER colour an image without knowing my paper, so this was a first, but worked out perfectly;), an SU! punch, my TCP Button Cutup die, cork and a cute green button from my stash and got to work! I really like this layout and the card came together quick and easy! The sentiments (both on front and inside) are MFT, stamped in black ink.

Ellie is cut out and popped up using dimensionals onto the white, circle embossed oval. Her stainless steel mixing bowl was given a coat of clear spica glitter pen.
The little gingerbread girl is used in place of the 3rd circle embellishment shown on the sketch.

The inside was kept fairly simple, using leftover paper scraps from the front, and another baking-related sentiment from MFT, as well as a MFT dienamic for the scallop border strip.

Thanks for stopping by! See you tomorrow with a few My Favorite Things previews!
