OMG!! and an anniversary card....

OMG. One of my favoritest stampers, the talented Sankari Wegman, left me a comment on my last post and you can't even imagine the happiness I felt when I read it!!! I had an ear-to-ear grin on my face for about an hour, lol!! I was practically giddy! She is a phenomenal card maker and designs for one of my fav companies Taylored Expressions! I feel so lucky! She is one of the co-creators of the Cinema Challenge blog that I made the Sleepy Hollow-ish card for. How cool is that!!! I am now inspired to show you another card that I  made. This one was for my Ma and Pa's 35th anniversary. No fancy sketch to follow or anything, just a simply made card from inside the mind of Jenny;)
I stamped my image onto TE's Choice Snow White with Memento Rich Cocoa and coloured with copics. I used some spellbinders labels (11 I think??) to cut it out and sponged with old olive ink. I used the larger label and cut out some dp and outlined the embossed area with a signo white gel pen to add a little bit more pizazz. The gourds/pumpkins and boots were stamped separately and cut out and popped up with dimensionals. I also coated the boots with crystal effects to make them look 'rubbery'. The DP is Cosmo Crickets Garden Variety. I also stamped the sentiment and cut out with a spellbinders ribbon slide label and sponged it. I gave it a ribbon treatment using Dusty Durango polka dot ribbon, red twine and a green button. I love this card. It is soooo 'mom and dad'!!! They are farmers and rubber boots are always found at their door. This is definately not a typical anniversary card, but I think the message is subtle and meaningful. Love and marriage basically boil down to having another pair of shoes next to yours in the porch:)

DP: Cosmo Cricket

Other: Copics, crystal effects, dimensionals, button (unknown), Spellbinders. Signo white gel pen, scalloped edge punch (SU!)
