So much for my mechanical knowledge. Appartantly you can have running lights but not enough juice to run the starter. So hopefully its just the battery:)
This is my last entry for TCP's Blog hop....I know what you must be thinking, but trust me, they said you could enter as many times as you wanted to! lol! And I am finally really happy with a card..the other pinks just weren't doing it for me:( I don't know if its because I'm not a huge pink fan, or if its that pink seems to be really hard to get a good photograph of- seems like there is never a good representation of the true colour??, or if it was just because they weren't coming together easy for me? Either way, I am DONE with pink for a little while;)
This layout was from a cardabilities sketch, and I thought that it would go perfect with the stamp that I was planning to use. These little penguins pull at my heart strings...aren't they just adorable all snugged up on the chair-and-a-half (?) with the bucket of popcorn, remote and a tissue:) They must be watching P.S. I Love You...(one of the only movies I've actually cried at) lol
There is a ton of paper peicing on this card....since I didn't want the penguins to appear 'sunken' I had to peice in the correct order so they would be on top of the chair rather than the chair looking more in the forefront. I drew floorboards on white CS and coloured with copics. I wanted the scene to have a 'grandmas living room' kind of feel, so I thought the DP from October Afternoon looked like wallpaper, so thats what it is in my room:) The television has a really retro look to its shape, so I coloured it dark to look like walnut veneer and coated it in CE. The remote, popcorn, tissue, and penguins feet and beaks are all coloured with spicas over top of the copics. CE and a rhinestone are on the remote as well. I stuck rhinestones on the TV antenna as well. The scallop circle panel is popped up on dimensionals. The rectangle/square panels are stitched and the cream flowered paper is sponged with chalk ink. The sentiment is stamped and curled to look like a banner. I didn't have any black flowers, so I coloured a mini white paper daisy with my black copic. Pink brads are set in the corners, and rhinestone flourishes are added in the bottom corners.
The inside has stiched layers of DP, more rhinestone flourishes, a paper flower and I used my 1/2" circle punch to punch out a piece of black dp and covered it in CE. The sentiment is punched with various SU punches and the edges of all the lighter papers are sponged.
