MFT Guest Designer Challenge for December

Wow- there is some serious talent out there! I just uploaded my card to SCS for My Favorite Things guest DT challenge, and let me tell you that it's likely to be a cold day in heck before I win...and not because I think I am a brutal stamper....cuz there are such creative chicks out there- It's CRAZY!!!!! I think of these ladies with their mundane day jobs, pounding away on a keyboard in a grey cubicle somewhere, or cleaning the toilet at the elementary school, or driving a bus, or milking cows...whatever everyone does all day. And thats when I think that it's so surreal that these regular gals are superstars at night, stamping away in their various little studios, corners of the family living room, repurposed closets or kitchen tables....isn't that nuts!! There is such a vast amount of creativity out there, just wanting to burst out!! Wow. that was deep. I'm literally exhausted from that whole spiel;)
So onward with this little (but still darned cute, although def not in the top 10) contribution to the MFT challenge.....
So, this months challenge was 'Stitch It Up'...so I stitched snowflakes in the dp (just copying the pattern on the paper with my needle and thread). Then stuck SU rhinestones in the middle of each flake. Zig zagged and straight stitched around the panels with my machine. Added a MFT tree die to the scene, and added 'snow' to the branches and ground with chunky glitter. Paper peiced and copic coloured the image. Added the dog from another set (boy in snowsuit and dog...can't remember the name) so it looks like he is having a leisurely ride in the sleigh..I like that part:). Added taylors tiny twinkles in blue to the girls coat buttons. Added diamond stickles and dazzling diamond glitter to her hat and boot fur. Stickles are on the tree decorations and the star and CE on the pups nose. I cut TCP's new snowflake cutup die and trimmed it to make it a better size for the card. stuck that on top of a striped old olive ribbon bow and added a fancy, glittery button and twine bow to that....Isn't that tree cool?? It cuts and embosses the woodgrain...LOVE IT!! I had never used it before- can u believe it?? I was sitting on a goldmine;) I like how the leaves come seperate (which i didn't use as I want my tree to be bare for the winter)
Well, thats a wrap! can you tell I'm exhausted?? Short and sweet post...I think I'm getting sick so I am going to hit the sack right away!! But at least i pulled myself together to give you a little eye candy...I'm afraid my little group of followers are going to abandon me if I don't put out! lol!!
Here's a few more pics and you can see better that hand stitching (which I did at the pool while the boys were at their swimming lesson tonight):

Oh yeah! See the detail on that tree!!? and look at that lazy little dog....reminds me of my old dog Bailey. I forgot to mention that the tree and girl/sleigh image are all popped up on dimensional boosters. Don't know why I gave him that red nose?? I know real dogs don't have bright red noses..must have rudolph on the brain..I gave my santa from my last post a red nose too;) haha
