What's Your Poison?

Thanks for stopping by! I am still feeling terrible, but since I'm not up for housework and running around, then I may as well get a little stamping in.....I have had some Kraftin Kimmie stamps for some time, but I had to mount them all (YUCK!!!) and then I was turned off of them for awhile for that reason...I know, I'm strange, but thats just how I roll;) But I have gotten over my bitterness regarding unmounted rubber and decided to dig this little devil out and give her some ink! I was a little daunted by the colouring for some reason, but I got it done without to many problems..I am still learning a lot about colouring with copics (ie. colour-bleeding) but I guess practice makes perfect, or at least improvement (I hope;)
This is a Mojo sketch and it's sometimes nice to have a pretty simple sketch and just focus on your main, stamped panel.

I stamped her in memento ink and coloured her with my copics. I added clear spica glitter pen to the ribbons in her hair and on her dress, apron, shoes and bottle. I trimmed her with my paper trimmer and cut around her pigtails (the sketch called for a long, narrow image, so I wanted to keep with that. I matted her with green dp (the flip side of the main skull dp panel) and then concord crush cs which I punched with my scallop edge SU punch around 3 sides. The sentiment label is cut from a nestie label and trimmed to just the one edge. The sentiment comes along with the girl image. I popped that up on dimensionals. I added dimensional pearls to the edges. The little skull on the black satin bow is just a skull from the dp that I cut out, stuck SU's new rhinestones (YUM!!!) on the eyes and coated the rest of the skull with CE. I like the way it turned out! And those rhinestones- They are freakin' gorgeous!! Yes, they are a little more costly than most, but they litterally are faceted like a diamond!! They are going to be treated like diamonds, too, I assure you! They are not something you just add willy nilly....only special places;)
I Know I've added tons of pictures to this blog, but I wanted you to see the sparkles, and the more pictures, the more you get the feel of it:) I won't do this all the time, trust me;) I sewed the edge of the large dp panel (the skulls) with a funky stitch option on my sewing machine...it kind of makes for an evil-ish feel with that sharp, wicked, black stitching, don't cha think??

See the facets on the rhinestones? I know- I think they are real diamonds...Eek!!! Look at the teeth on that guy!!!! Scary! This is my favorite Halloween paper ever and it's discontinued from last years SU catalogue...{tears}! Oh well, I am being a brave girl and not hoarding all my fav d/c items like I used too;)

Isn't the inside sentiment fabulous?? It's not one that comes with the set, but it is a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp as well! Tons of good little verses in that set! Not sure what kind of occassion for this card would call for....attempted murder? assault? intent to cause bodily harm? or just a friendly warning for a misbehaving spouse......;)

I think you colored her fabulously! (I was a bit afraid of this one myself. Lots of detail and tiny spaces.) Wonderful!
