{KKS128} Gnome Sayin'?

Hi there! Yay- the weekend is here:) Not that my life changes much day to day....mostly it's the sleeping in and not having to pack school lunches that I look forward to!
This weeks Kraftin' Kimmie challenge is brought to us by Alice. She has challenged us to make a one layer card. Well, it seems that I am a natural born rule breaker, cuz I did *cheat* a hair and matted my crumbcake CS layer on a layer of navy CS....I needed the colour!!! lol

I used the cute lil fishing gnome from Emilie's Hangin' With My Gnomies set and the sentiment is from the other gnome set What's Up, Gnomie?
I stamped in memento ink onto SU! Crumbcake CS and coloured with copics. When you are colouring on kraft CS, lighter colours obviously don't show up as well, so you may have to reach for your markers that are deeper in saturation. Leave time for the ink to dry, as it doesn't show it's actual colour right away, as you would see on white or cream. For his eyes, teeth and the fishing bob, I used a white gel pen, but I think it's too stark, so I have some other ideas for next time;) I rounded the opposite corners of the Crumbcake and Not Quite Navy CS.

Don't forget about our Frugal Friday Specials, that run all weekend long! Your chance at some great stamps at 40 - 50%off!
Okee dokee- your turn! Link up your one-layer cards to the Krafty Blog for your chance to win:)

I stressed out so much about that challenge that I sat it out. I LOVE your card. Your coloring is beautiful and the white in the eyes just makes everything pop.
Hugs and smiles
