Today is a very special day for a dear friend (whom I've never met in person, but I consider a friend just the same) Corinna. Today is the very first birthday of her fabulous company, the Ribbon Carousel!! I'm not even sure how I first found the RC (I like to say that like I am talking about that show The OC- which I thought was the lamest thing going, but my brother was hooked on...) The RC is much cooler, trust me. Anyhow- the minute I found this quaint little online store (p.s. it's grown leaps and bounds since I first stumbled upon it- kinda like a real live baby does) I knew that it was somewhere I'd be frequently transferring funds to, via paypal;) The service is top notch, the product superb, and the prices..well, lets just say you better be wearing your undies, cuz your pants will be blown clean off! I love this company...and did I mention Corinna and her design team are some of the funniest, most supportive, close-knit bunch of ribbon freaks on the block? Well, they are. You can take that one to the bank! And thats why I was so honored when Miss Thang herself asked me to join this highly insane and utterly enjoyable group of donkeys (and that is a term of endearment with these gals;). I am on the RC, baby! So in kicking off this milestone birthday celebration, as well as my rise off the bench and onto the field, the RC DT are having a SUPER SURPRISE BIRTHDAY Blog Hop!!! Corinna has no idea her herd has been conspiring to pull this off....SURPRISE! I hope you are anyway, my friend:):) Congrats on your first year, and may there be many more years of success and friendship in your future! You are a true gem and you deserve the best in life:) Cheers (and yes, I am going to have a glass of wine in your honor, once I get the kids on the school bus;)!!
Here is your card, which will be arriving at your mailbox in the near future:) But, as always, my procrastination is award winning!
This is my first card with Gorguss stamps! Here I've used Forget Me Not, and coloured her with copics, sponging and sewing along as I went. The ribbon and twine are from....wait for it.....the Ribbon Carousel!!! I've used my new favorite Brown Jute Twine and a new goodie from my April Club Kit, the cream two-tone shear satin:) Delish!
And here is the inside, with more twine! I didn't add a sentiment, as I thought that the DP strip kind of spoke for itself:) If you can't quite see it, it says 'the secret to having it all....is knowing you already do' which I think is pretty darned insightful for deigner paper;)
